The “Les Champs du Lys” school complex is a set of private and secular nursery, primary and secondary general education establishments located at the descent of the Mendong market in Yaoundé, capital of Cameroon.
Founded in 2005 by a couple of Cameroonian educators, Mrs. Sakou Gertrude and Mr. Sakou Jean, it brings together a Bilingual ( English and French speaking ) Nursery and Primary Education Center “les Champs du Lys” opened in 2005 and a full cycle College “Le Champs des Lys” opened in 2012.
The “Les Champs du Lys” school complex is an educational environment par excellence which deals with the intellectual, physical, moral, civic and spiritual education of children and adolescents without distinction of race, ethnicity, social class or sex in order to form worthy and responsible citizens, actors and artisans of development.
The name of the “Champs du Lys” school complex refers to the vision of the founders who aspire to make this school institution a model of a peaceful and joyful environment, an ideal setting where the consciousness and behavior of learners, teachers and of all the visitors the high human values of which the purity symbolized by the Lily is the greatest virtue; hence the motto: PURITY-WORK-SUCCESSES .
The insertion in the school programs of all classes of the Les Champs du Lys school complex of a new discipline called “The Values of Life” with the teaching of the 10 Commandments of God, the Laws of Nature, the virtues and human qualities such as love, justice, purity, modesty, chastity, politeness, tolerance, obedience, beauty, femininity, masculinity, respect for the environment, etc. aims to achieve the noble goals of a complete education from early childhood, to protect children against the deviances of modern society and to form accomplished human beings.
